Morgan has been working hard at redecorating her house and wanted to have new/updated photos to put on her freshly painted walls. So when I got the call and she told me about what she wanted (family photos in a field of flowers) and sent me a photo of her new walls in the dining room, we talked about what they would wear. When I started scouting I messaged a few locations to get permission to shoot there and I kept running into Covid obstacles. ugh!!!
Then a few days before their shoot, I was on my way to the beach and kept seeing fields of daisies, and that’s when I remembered a field that I had shot in a few years ago, it was like a light bulb (ding). I couldn’t remember what time of the year it was but hey it was worth taking a look. Drove over to Willamette Mission State Park and did a drive through, there wasn’t as many as I had seen in the past but took some pictures and a video to show Morgan to see what she thought. Here is one of a few locations to choose from. She love the idea!
Morgan sent me this picture of what they were going to wear, so perfect, very non distracting, two colors and would look great in a field of flowers and not get lost in all the green that Oregon has to offer. Now if we could talk Valentin into not wearing a ball cap. he-he
Morgan did a great job planning nap time for the kiddos, put them down later so at 7pm he would be ready to go and be happy. Golden hour is the BEST time to take photos, if you don’t know what “golden hour” is, it is the 1-2 hours before sunset and after sunrise. The sky has a soft glow and it perfect for taking photos!!
Here are the finished photos, I have to say I really like how they turned out.
