Patrick and Kristine found me as a friend referral, I have to say, I think referrals are way more valuable to me than just someone that saw my work. I value my referrals and try my best to “take care” of the ones that I learn about! I send a personal thank you for those with a little gift inside.
Kristine and I had been chatting back and forth via email or social media but never met, so I am really glad I am an outgoing person haha. When I met Kristine for the first time in the kitchen she was all dressed up, beautiful hair and make-up and smiling from ear to ear! You could just tell how excited she was to get married, truly joyful! Patrick was outside taking care of details and directing people where to go and was super organized and informed, which a lot of times the groom doesn’t know the schedule for the day. Hint ladies, make sure to share this with your partner and communicate what your plans and vision for the day is, who is doing what. Patrick was able to tell me how people were coming down the isle, what the time line was, who the important “players” were in the game for the day!
When you are planning a wedding, whether it be big or small, have someone to help you coordinate the day of your wedding! The bride and groom need to focus or be available for a lot of things and that is NOT one of many things that they need to be doing. This person, will keep things on task, on time and answer questions. They are going to be your right arm in a very important day! If you are looking to hire someone for your special day, I have a lot of connections with Willamette Valley Wedding Professionals and would recommend Event Planned Perfectly or Beyond the Date Event but I do have a list of vendors I would recommend from the Willamette Valley
As with many weddings Patrick and Kristine’s wedding had a few plans change due to COVID but I think their wedding was intimate, special and the friends and relatives that were able to attend made it special! I really think this will be a trend moving forward, going to more special, meaningful weddings instead of big lavish shindigs.
Patrick and Kristine wanted to have a first look before the wedding and there wasn’t too many spots that were in the shade but we found a few spots that they could have a special moment. After the first look, it was go time! We were all ready to go, people were seated and Patrick was ready to go! Kristine was in the corner with her daughter and a few friends keeping her calm. Kristine was very nervous about being in front of people, talking, and just being the center of attention not to mention determined not to cry!
Their wedding wasn’t long, family and friends present and most had a beer in hand ready to cheer them on! After the wedding, we signed the certificate, did a few family pictures, and got down to business of yes Eatting!!! They chose to have pizza and salad for dinner which I have to say was planned perfectly, everyone LOVED it and there were NO LEFTOVERS! They had a friend Tamera Stalik made their beautiful cake, lemon with lemon cream cheese frosting under the fondant, both bride and groom said it was the best cake they ever had! Cupcakes were made by Sweetly Baked, since taking wedding photos I have tasted a lot of cake/cupcakes and I have to say I LOVE these cupcakes!!! After the cake cutting they played the shoe game, it is a very cute game, bride and groom sit back-to-back, each holding a shoe (one of bride/one of groom) then one person asks them questions: who’s the better cook, who’s the better driver, who made the first move, who’s the better kisser. Lots of laughs from bride and groom and friends that are looking on.
Once we moved on to the dance the band started. They played songs that you could dance to, and were a nice mix of classic rock and their own written music. The bride and groom danced but then Patrick danced with Kristine’s young daughter, I was trying not to tear up as I watched this sweet dance, he even got a little dip in the end!
